Aggy Boshoff
I studied law at Leiden University. Whilst working as an advocate in Amsterdam, I attended the evening school of the Gerrit Rietveld Art Academy in Amsterdam. After moving to England in 1986 I studied for further periods at St Martin’s and Heatherley Schools of Art, both in London. Since then I have exhibited my work in various galleries and also taught workshops in painting. For all paintings click on the PAINTINGS page.
In 2006 I was commissioned by Dorling Kindersley, then a division of Penguin, to write and illustrate a book called Oil-painting Workshop. Three years later DK brought out the Complete Painting and Drawing Handbook of which my book forms a part. These books are vailable through Amazon. In 2012 I wrote and illustrated a children’s picture e-book called The Best Party in the World with voice-over and sound effects, which is downloadable from the Apple iBooks Application.
Between 2011 and 2022 I wrote the history of my own and my husband Leon’s families in three books, called A Dutch Family (1 and 2) and A South African Family.
